To me, reading is reading. Comic books and graphic novels are a great way to help struggling readers improve their reading skills. It also helps those still learning English to absorb more and gain a better understanding of American culture. Plus, a lot of kids today don't read enough and their imaginations grow stagnate. Reading helps revitalize their imaginations and will lead them to better things.
